Bohemian Hotel

Autograph Collection

102 West Bay Street
Savannah, GA 31401

For our trip to Savannah, my Husband decided to book us a room at the Bohemian Hotel.    We had seen another hotel in New Orleans called The Saint (part of the autograph collection as well), which looked amazing, so we decided to give this one a go.

The Bohemian was born 7 years ago, and is a luxury, boutique hotel located between River Street and Bay Street.  As soon the glass doors are opened for you, you walk into exposed brick interior with a vibe of rock and roll meets river history.  Deep purples and browns encompass your surroundings and a velvet couch welcomes you.

The check in area was trendy and hip, and the concierge was more than helpful, giving us map and a handful of recommendations for the area.

Our room was located on the 6th floor.  You need to use your key to access the elevator which is always a nice safety feature.  Our room was spacious and continued the theme we had already seen, with a faux fur blanket, darker wood accents, and even oyster candelabras in the bathroom.  The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom provided everything we needed.

The hotel (in my opinion) is situated in one of the best locations.  Its main entrance is on Bay Street, but if you take the elevator to the 1st floor where their restaurant Rocks on the River is, you can walk right out onto River Street.  Bohemian is a block away from City Market, and walking distance to everything we needed to do (no Uber or rental cars needed minus getting to and from the airport).

There are two restaurants in the hotel:  Rocks on the River, and their rooftop bar Rocks on the Roof.  The Bohemian has one of the two known rooftop bars in Savannah, and offers amazing views of the river, while catering to your trendy, party side.  There is a fire pit with big comfy chairs to lounge in, or tables to sit at while enjoying the atmosphere.  The downstairs restaurant, Rocks on the River, has high reviews, and serves up regionally inspired American cuisine.

I was a little concerned that noise would be a problem since our room overlooked Bay Street, but we had absolutely no issues there.  All in all a great hotel.  A little bummed there wasn't a spa here, but you can always check out their sister location, Mansion on Forsyth Park, which hosts Poseidon Spa.  I love this hotel group, and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit Savannah.

<3 P.S.  There is a liquor store connected to the Bohemian as well as the Cotton Sail Hotel which has another rooftop bar to check out.  It's time to get your drink on!
